Hi, We know that 3 new banned product’s Lyral, Atranol & Chloroatranol will be prohibited (Common names: LYRAL, ATANOL & CHLOROTRANOL) from the 23rd August 2019.

Also Lilial Cas No 80-54-6 is also going to be banned in the near future so removed at the same time as the above.

So what is White Rose Essential Oils doing to keep all our customers legal.

We are having all the products we make re-assessed so the formulations smell the same and do the job that the old ones did.

So after the 23rd August 2019 what you need to be looking for is these 3 CAS No: shown below and on the link above.

Lyral CAS No: 31906-04-4

Atranol. CAS No: 526-37-4

Chlorotranol CAS No: 57074-21-2

If these are in the product they cannot be used in the manufacturing of any cosmetics.

So hoping all goes ok all our product listed will be available as these are made up and in stock so very shortly the products we state are ok at this present time will be taken off our listings with the new legal product relisted ASAP.

Also we removed on  the above date Cas No 80-54-6 (Lilial) para-tert.-Butyl-alpha-methyldihydrocinnamic aldehyde (Lilial) (repr. Cat 3)

Timeline for Compliance:

  • From August 23, 2019, only cosmetic products which comply with the Regulation shall be placed on the Union market.
  • From August 23, 2021, only cosmetic products which comply with the Regulation shall be made available on the Union market.
