Safflower carrier base oil oxidizes very easily but can be used in massage blends.
It may be beneficial to use Safflower carrier base oil for painful inflamed joints
Uses: all skin types, helpful for painful sprains, bruises, inflames joints.circulatory problems,
dry, overheated, irritated skin
Safflower is one of the highest natural sources of oleic acid and therefore helps to rejuvenate damaged skin and provide moisture, so that even dry skin feels smooth.
Perfect for cream blends, skin blends or using as a massage oil on extremely dry skin.
Carrier oils are the base oils used on their own or for blending to make special blends for massaging the body.
By adding essential oils to the base carrier oil this absorbs the essential oils into the body.
Always purchase carrier oils which have been Cold Pressed which means that they have been obtained from natural sources.
A note of caution when choosing carrier oils, check that the person is not sensitive or allergic to any of the substances i.e. the natural fruits, flowers or nuts from which the oils are derived.
Some carrier oils are expensive and may be used as a percentage of the total blend with another carrier oil.
Carrier oils should always be stored in amber bottles with airtight lids as they may turn rancid if exposed to the air, Wheatgerm is the exception to this and is an excellent antioxidant it may be added to blends to prolong shelf life.
